The Great Stables

The monumental stables of Chantilly, built between 1719 and 1735 by the architect Jean Aubert for Louis-Henri de Bourbon-Condé (1692-1740), 7th Prince of Condé, stand out as the most extraordinary monument dedicated to the Horse in Europe and probably in the world.

Due to their exceptional size, the luxury of their architecture, their abundant sculpted decorations and their interior fittings, the Great Stables of Chantilly are an exceptional place.
The dimensions of the place are in keeping with the ambition of the architectural project: nearly 200 meters long and nearly 20 meters wide. These monumental stables were designed to comfortably house 240 horses.
